Bio
Sophia Brook is a Florida actor, singer, model, and dancer. Sophia is best known for her role as Dorothy in the Belle Theater production of The Wizard of Oz and has also starred in numerous plays and musicals around Florida. Her prior credits include Mary in Mary Poppins, Margot Frank in Diary of Anne Frank, Cady Heron in Mean Girls, and Sandy in Grease. She is thrilled to play Anne Boleyn for SIX this fall.
Sophia made her feature film debut in Rough Draft, where she played Emily, which was produced by Dangerous Curves Productions, and met her acting coach, the director of the film, Aaron Jackson. In 2023, Sophia starred as Molly in the short film The Remedy (Kate Olivia Films). The film won awards such as Best Short Film and Sophia won Best Actress. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the International Christian Film Festival - the biggest one in the US.
Sophia is also very passionate about practicing her craft with her vocal coach, Matt Koller. She has been working diligently with both of her coaches for the past eight years and has danced at the same studio for ten years. She has sung the National Anthem at over 50 different sporting events.
She is a proud member of NHS, the Arts Honors Society, amongst a vast number of honor societies. Sophia makes it a point to keep her native Brazilian roots and is fluent in Portuguese, and also has a very strong hold on her Spanish. She is the president of Loving Letters, an organization she created, where all the members frequently send out letters to seniors to brighten their days. She enjoys singing in the City of Palms Youth Choir, serving as a board member for the Mastersingers, and also competing at both Junior Theater Festivals from iTheatrics and at Florida Thespian District and State Competitions.
One of her biggest accolades to date was her receiving five superiors at the state level, as well as Critic’s Choice two years in a row, the highest award received in the One Act in which she co-starred. She received the same award at Thespians for her monologue as well. Her most recent accolade was the All-Star Award at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta for her performance as Mary Poppins. With her Anne Frank cast, she won numerous awards from Broadway Stars of The Future including Best Overall Production.
